Never use alcohol,paint thinner, or benzine.• Before using a chemically treated cloth, read the instructions thatcame with the cloth.No output from one of thespeakers • Adjust the audio balance. See “Adjusting soundsettings” in the online User Guide.• Make sure that the audio cables are connectedcorrectly and securely to the back of your TV.After images appear • Do not display a still image, such as a logo,game, or computer image, for an extendedperiod of time. This can cause a permanentafter-image to be burned into the screen. Thistype of damage is not covered by your warranty.Problem SolutionRemote control does notwork. • Make sure that the power cord is correctlyconnected to your TV and a power outlet.• Make sure that there are no obstructionsbetween the remote control and the remotecontrol sensor on the front of the TV.• Point the remote control directly at the remotecontrol sensor on your TV. Try turning offone device at a time to determine which deviceis causing interference. Once you havedetermined which device is causinginterference, move it further from the TV toeliminate the interference.“No signal” errormessage is displayed • Press INPUT and make sure that you haveselected the correct input for the device orservice you are trying to use.• If you are using a cable or satellite box, use theremote that came with that box to changechannels.• Make sure you have the correct input selected toview channels from the cable or satellite box.Problem SolutionAfter Auto ChannelSearch, there are nochannels• Reception can vary by channel depending on thebroadcast power level of a given station. Contactyour cable or satellite TV provider.• Make sure the antenna or cable/satellite TV isconnected securely to your TV.• Try replacing the cable between theantenna/cable or cable/satellite box and yourTV.One or more channelsdo not display. • Make sure that the channels are not blocked. See“Setting parental control levels.”• Make sure that the channels are not hidden. Thechannel may have been deleted from thechannel list. You can tune to the channel bypressing the number buttons or you can add thechannel back to the channel list. See “Hidingchannels” in the online User Guide.• If you are using a cable or satellite box, use theremote that came with that box to changechannels.• Make sure you have the correct input selected toview channels from the cable or satellite box.• If you are using an antenna, the digital channelsignal may be low. To check the digital channelsignal strength, see “Checking the digital signalstrength” in the online User Guide.Password is lost. • Enter 9999 to access parental controls, then seta new password. See “Setting or changing thepassword” in the online User Guide.Some settings cannot beaccessed. • If a setting is grayed, the setting is not availablein the current video input mode.TV cabinet creaks. • When the TV is in use, the temperature risesnaturally and may cause the cabinet to expandor contract which can cause a creaking noise.This is not a malfunction.Control buttons do notwork • Make sure that the Button Lock option is set toOff.
