Setting up your TV 9Setting up your TVInstalling remote control batteriesTo install remote control batteries:1 Open the battery compartment cover.2 Insert two AAA batteries into the battery compartment. Makesure that the + and – symbols on the batteries match the + and– symbols in the battery compartment.3 Replace the cover.Notes:• Do not mix different types of batteries.• Do not mix old and new batteries.• Remove batteries when they no longer have a charge. Chemicalsmay leak into the battery compartment. Battery chemicals cancause a rash. If chemicals leak, clean the battery compartment witha cloth.• Remove the batteries if you do not intend to use the remote controlfor an extended amount of time.• Do not dispose of batteries in a fire. Dispose of them as hazardouswaste.Attaching the standNote: Your TV may look different than the illustrations in this procedure.If you plan to set your TV on a flat surface, such as a table or cabinet, youmust install the stand.Cautions:• Make sure that you handle your TV carefully when installing orremoving the stand. If you are not sure comfortable with thisprocedure or you do not know how to use the tools required tocomplete this procedure, contact a professional installer or servicepersonnel. Dynex is not responsible for any damages or injuries thatmay occur because of mishandling or incorrect assembly.• When you lay your TV face down, make sure that you place is on asoft cushion or covering to prevent damage to the screen or case.• The speaker is not intended to support the weight of your TV. Do notuse the speaker as a handle for moving your TV because you maydamage your TV. This type of damage is not covered by yourwarranty.• Before you attach or remove the stand, make sure that the powercord is unplugged.To attach the stand:1 Remove the stand from the box and place it on a table or workbench.2 Lay your TV face down on the edge of the table or work bench.Caution: Make sure that you place your TV on a soft cushion or coveringto prevent damage to the screen or case.3 Align the holes on the stand with the holes in the stand columnand align the locating groove in the stand with the locator in thestand column.
