10 Setting up your TVConnecting a component video deviceTo connect a component video device:1 Make sure that your TV’s power cord is unplugged and thecomponent video device is turned off.2 Connect a component video cable to the COMPONENT OUT jackson the component video device.3 Connect the other end of the component video cable to theCOMPONENT1 or COMPONENT2 jacks on the back of your TV.4 Connect an audio cable to the AUDIO OUT jacks on thecomponent device.5 Connect the other end of the audio cable to theCOMPONENT AUDIO-R and AUDIO-L jacks on the back ofyour TV.To play from a component device:1 Turn on your TV, then press INPUT. The INPUT SOURCE menuopens.2 Press or to select Component1 or Component2, thenpress ENTER.Note: You can also press COMP once for Component1 or twice forComponent2.3 Turn on the component video device, and set it to the correctoutput mode. See the component video device’s user guide formore information.Connecting an S-Video deviceTo connect an S-Video device:1 Make sure that your TV’s power cord is unplugged and theS-Video device is turned off.2 Connect an S-Video cable to the S-VIDEO OUT jack on theS-Video device.3 Connect the other end of the cable to the S-VIDEO jack on theback of your TV.4 Connect an audio cable to the AUDIO OUT R and L jacks on theS-Video device.5 Connect the other end of the audio cable to the AV IN AUDIO-Rand AUDIO-L jacks on the back of your TV.To play from an S-Video device:1 Turn on your TV, then press INPUT.
