22 DVD Playback3 Press CH+ or CH– to highlight Menu Settings, then pressENTER/VOL+. The Menu Settings menu opens.4 Press CH+ or CH– to highlight an option, then press VOL+ orVOL– to change the setting. Options include:• Transparency–Press VOL+ or VOL- to adjust howtransparent the TV menu appears.• Language–Press ENTER/VOL+ to enter the sub-menu,then press CH+/- to select the menu language from English,French, or Spanish.5 Press EXIT to close the menu.Labeling an input sourceYou can add a label to an input source to make it easier to identify.To label an input source:1 Press MENU. The on-screen menu opens.2 Press VOL+ or VOL– to highlight SETTINGS, then pressENTER/CH–. The Settings menu opens.3 Press CH+ or CH– to highlight Input Labels, then pressENTER/VOL+. The Input Labels menu opens.4 Press CH+ or CH– to highlight an option, then press VOL+ orVOL– to change the setting. Options include:• Input–To select the input to label.• Label–To select the label. Options include:• Custom–Select this option to input your own label.• VCR• DVD• Set Top Box• Satellite• Cable Box• Game• PC• Custom–To enter a custom label. Press VOL+ or VOL– tomove between fields and press CH+ or CH– to select thenumber of symbol you want (up to ten) to label the input.Press ENTER to confirm.• Reset Input Labels–To reset all input labels to factorydefault.5 Repeat Step 4 to enter additional labels.6 Press MENU to return to the previous menu, or press EXIT toclose the menu.DVD PlaybackBasic playbackTo load and play a DVD:1 Press DVD on the remote control to enter DVD mode.2 When the TV displays “OPEN,” place a DVD in the disc slot withthe label facing the back of the TV.The disc is loaded automatically after one to two seconds, thenthe DVD player reads the DVD and displays the opening menu. (Ifthere is no disc placed in the DVD slot, “OPEN” will remain on thescreen.)3 Press the cursor buttons on the remote control to select menuoptions, then press PLAY/ENTER to start playback. You can alsopress the digit buttons to select a menu option directly, thoughsome DVDs do not allow this during startup. During playback youcan:• Press PAUSE to pause playback (still mode). The sound ismuted during still mode.• Press PLAY/ENTER to resume normal playback.• Press FWD to fast forward through the disc. Each timeFWD is pressed, the fast forward speed changes.• Press PLAY/ENTER to resume normal playback.• Press REV to fast reverse through the disc. Each timeREV is pressed, the fast reverse speed changes.• Press PLAY/ENTER to resume normal playback.• Press PREV to repeat the current chapter. If you presswithin two seconds of when the current chapter begins, itwill move to the last chapter until the start of the disc isreached.• Press NEXT to skip the current chapter and play the nextone.• Press STOP to stop playback. The TV screen shows thestart logo.
