95.1 GHG 261 .. Main-switch / load disconnect switchThe Main-switch / load disconnect switch (IEC/EN 60947) are designedfor the safe isolation of the electrical energy at all poles on equipment, machinery and drives in potentially explosive atmospheres.5.2 GHG 261 .. Safety switch; maintenance-/repair -switchThe safety switches (IEC/EN 62626-1) are designed for the safe isolationof the electrical energy at all poles while maintenance, cleaning andrepair work is being carried out on equipment, machinery and drives inpotentially explosive atmospheres. The classification according to IEC/EN 62626-1 is given. The ”EMERGENCY-STOP“ version conforms to the requirements ofIEC/EN 60204-1.A built-in locking device prevents the opening of the enclosure in the”OFF“ position.6 InstallationThe relevant national regulations(e.g. Elex V, the equipment safety law forGermany) and the generally recognized rules of engineering apply for theinstallation and operation (IEC/EN 60079-14).The improper installation and operation of switches GHG 261 mayresult in the invalidation of the guarantee.6.1 MountingBefore mounting the switches GHG 261, the cover has to be removedfrom the enclosure base. For this, the safety switch has to be set to the”ON“ position. When the safety switches are mounted directly onto the wall, they shallrest evenly only on the fastening points provided for this purpose. The screw chosen shall fit the fixing hole (see dimensional drawings, page 6) and shall not damage the hole (e.g. use of a washer). The apparatus shall be fixed diagonally with a minimum of 2 screws. If the screws are overtightened, the apparatus may be damaged. The safety switches GHG 261 are suited for mounting on CEAGapparatus holders size 1 by means of self-cutting screws (see fig. 2).See the respective mounting instructions.6.2 Opening apparatus / Electrical connectionThe electrical connection of the apparatus may only be carried outby specialists (IEC/EN 60079-14).Before opening the apparatus, ensure that it has been isolated fromthe voltage supply or to take suitable protective measures. Before opening the safety switches, set the switch to the ”ON“ position. The properly bared conductors of cables shall be connected with dueregard to the respective regulations. To maintain the explosion protection, conductors shall be connected withspecial care. The insulation shall reach up to the terminal. The conductor itself shall notbe damaged. The minimum and maximum conductor cross sections that can beconnected shall be observed (see technical data). All screws and / or nuts of connection terminals, including those not inuse, shall be tightened down securely.Excessive tightening may affect or damage the connection (seetechnical data). The standard terminals are designed for the direct connection ofconductors with copper wires. If multi- or fine-wire connection cables are used, the wire ends shall behandled according to the applicable national and international regulations(e.g. use of multicore cable ends). The position of the connection terminals is shown in the wiring diagramson the switch base and in fig. 3 of the operating instructions. To ensure that the safety switches closes correctly, switching at theswitch shaft of the switch insert is not permitted when the apparatus isopen. If, to facilitate the feeding of conductors into the enclosure, the switchinsert is removed from the enclosure base, it shall be put back correctlybefore the electrical connection is made.CCApparatus holder size 1for wall and trellis fixingApparatus holder size 1 for pipe fixingC = screw fixing points for safety switchGHG 261, 10 AFig. 2Wiring diagramFig. 3GBExplosion-protected safety switch, main switch, load disconnect switch 10 A, GHG 261
