Adapter Plate Kit – APFP15AFor replacing a PanelMate® 4000/5000 TouchPanel unit with a15” Flat Panel Display unitIntroductionThis Adapter Plate Kit (APFP15A) allows you to mount a 15” Flat Panel Display unit (7585DT-15)in a location previously occupied by a PanelMate Power Series 4000/5000 TouchPanel unit(45xx/55xx series) or a PanelMate Power Pro 5000 TouchPanel unit (55xx/57xx series).This Adapter Plate Kit includes the following items:• 1 Adapter Plate• 1 Gasket• 18 #10-32 Star Nuts• 18 #10 WashersRequired Tools: Torque driver with 3/8” socketInstallationFollow the steps below to properly assemble and mount the Adapter Plate Kit.1. Attach the gasket to the adapter plate. With the paper side facing the plate, align the outsideedge of the gasket with the outside edge of the plate. Attach the gasket by peeling theprotective paper from the gasket, exposing the adhesive, a few inches at a time.2. Attach the gasket, supplied with the display, to the display unit using the instructions provided.3. Mount the display unit to the adapter plate. Place the display unit face down on a clean worksurface. Avoid any objects or motion that could scratch the front panel. Guide the plate onto theunit. Secure the plate by installing the clips provided with the display.4. Install the adapter plate with the attached display unit into the existing panel opening andsecure it with the #10 washers and locking nuts provided with this kit.Note: The torque limit for these studs is 20 inch-pounds for #10-32 nuts.CAUTIONCARE SHOULD BE EXERCISED WHEN TIGHTENING THE NUTS. THE FASTENERS MUST BETIGHTENED ENOUGH TO OBTAIN A PROPER SEAL, BUT NOT TIGHTENED TO THE POINT WHERETHE THREADS ARE STRIPPED OR THE GASKET IS OVER COMPRESSED AND RENDEREDUSELESS.January 2005 Page 1 of 2 01-50611-00
