(SeeFigure 3 & 4).Step 3: Projectile InstallationGeneral InformationThe Eaton’s FT1455-L2 Hand Held Launcher was designed toshoot a projectile through hose and tube assemblies to strip outinternal contamination such as rubber dust and metal particlesfrom cutting processes, metal flash from crimping operations, and contaminated oil from hoses and tubes in hydraulic systems.Eaton Hose Cleaning Systems reduce downtime, extends filterlife and reduces the risk of failure and premature wear due tocontamination. The purpose of this manual is to present the basic operating andsafety information for the Eaton FT1455-L2 Hand Held ProjectileLauncher.Safety InstructionsRead and understand the operator’s manualbefore attempting to operate this unit. Failureto follow operating instructions could result inpersonal injury or property damage.Prevent Unauthorized Operation: Do notpermit anyone to operate this unit unless they haveread and thoroughly understand this manual.Wear Safety Glasses: Risk of eye injury! Eyeprotection is required at all times during the installation and operation of this unit. Failure to wear safetyglasses could result in personal injury.Keep work area clean. Note: NeverUse Oxygen. A 1/2” NPT regulator with gauge and a 5 micron airfilter should be installed in the supply line to ensure clean dry air.MaintenanceVisually inspect Hand Launcher for accumulation of particulateand oil from inlet air source. Clean as needed. Keep the hoseassembly area clean to reduce recontamination of hose, tubeand pipe assemblies.Figure 2Figure 3Figure 4
