106.3 Cable entries (KLE); blanking plugs6.3.1 Plug and socketFlexible cables shall be used with trumpetshaped cable glands or other suitableentries with additional pullrelief. When using cable entries with a lower IPprotection than that which applies to the device(see page 7, technical data), the IP protection ofthe whole device will be reduced. The mounting directives applicable to the cableentries used shall be observed.Unused holes shall be closed with a blankingplug in order to establish the minimumprotection category. In case of sealing inserts that are cut out, itshall be ensured that the insert is properlyadapted to the cable diameter. Care has to betaken that when fitting the cable entries, sealing inserts appropriate to the cablediameter are used.In order to ensure the required minimumprotection category, the cable glands are tobe tightened down.Overtightening might impair the protectioncategory. All vacant metric CCH / CEAG cable entriesshall be closed with the certified blanking plugfor metric cable entries.6.3.2 PlugFig. 9: In general, only the sealing inserts fittedin the plug may be used. When mounting thecable, attention has to be paid that sealinginserts matching the cable diameter be used. After having connected the cable, the couplingring item 2 is to be screwed fingertight until thesealing effect is obtained. Then the screws item4, of the pull-relief item 3, are to be tighteneddown.Mind! Overtightening might impair thepullrelief effect!6.4 Closing the deviceIn order to ensure the required minimumprotection category, the cover screws, thescrews of the plug and the coupler shall betightened down.Overtightening might impair the protectioncategory.Any foreign matter shall be removed fromthe device.6.5 Taking into operationPrior to taking the apparatus into operation, thetests specified in the relevant nationalregulations shall be carried out. Apart from that, the correct functioning and installation of theapparatus in accordance with these operatinginstructions and other applicable regulations willhave to be checked.Check the plug for any damages before puttingit in the socket. The user must ensure that a uniform equipoten-tial earth applies throughout when the plug andsocket system is operated. The inappropriate installation and operation of the plugs and sockets can entail theloss of warranty.7 Maintenance/ServicingBefore opening the enclosure, make surethat the device is disconnected from thevoltage, or take appropriate protectivemeasures. The required maintenance intervals dependon the specific application and will thereforehave to be determined by the user dependenton the conditions of use.If during servicing, repairs prove to benecessary, section 8 of these operatinginstructions will have to be observed.8 Repair / Overhaul /ModificationsRepairs and overhaul may only be carried outwith genuine CCH / CEAG spare parts. For replacement and repair only genuineCCH / CEAG spare parts shall be used.Repairs may only be carried out byCCH / CEAG or a qualified electrician incompliance with the respective nationalregulations.Modifications to the device or changes ofits design are not permitted.9 Disposal / RecyclingWhen the apparatus is disposed of, therespective national regulations on wastedisposal will have to be observed. In orderto facilitate the recycling of individual com-ponents, plastic parts are provided with theidentification mark of the plastic materialused.Subject to modifications or supplement ofthe product range.Code for voltage and no. of polesacc. to IECVoltage Colour h (PE)2-pole + PE110 - 130V 50/60Hz yellow 4 h200 - 250V 50/60Hz blue 6 h3-pole + PE200 - 250V 50/60Hz blue 9 h480 - 500V 50/60Hz black 7 h380 - 415V 50/60Hz red 6 h600 - 690V 50/60Hz black 5 h3-pole + N + PE480 - 500V 50/60Hz black 7 h380 - 415V 50/60Hz red 6 h600 - 690V 50/60Hz black 5 hItem 2Item 1 Item 3 Item 4Drilling template for flange sockets3- + 4-pole and inletsDrilling template for flange sockets 5-poleFig. 9Plug and socket system for industrial use 16 A,3-pole, 4-pole, 5-pole, GHG 521GB
