8LED Beacon LD15EnglishConditions of safe use:The following conditions apply to the installation,operation and maintenance of the LD15. Failure toobserve these may compromise the safety integrityof the Beacon.1. The user shall comply with the requirements given inthis Safety manual in regard to all relevant functionalsafety aspects such as application of use, installation,operation, maintenance, proof tests, maximum ratings,environmental conditions, repair, etc.2. If the Beacon is to be used on a Fire Alarm system it isrecommended as per BS 5839 part 1 (eq. EN 54), thatthe product is tested at least once a week. In all otherapplications it is strongly recommended to test theproduct at least once a year.3. Selection of this equipment for use in safety functionsand the installation, configuration, overall validation,maintenance and repair shall only be carried out bycompetent personnel, observing all the manufacturer’sconditions and recommendations in the userdocumentation.4. If the product is used in a redundant installation,both hardware safety integrity and systematic safetyintegrity for SIL 2 can be achieved.
