4LED Beacon LD15EnglishNoee:N The default setting supplied by MEDC is 60 flashesper minute (0,1,0).For the double flash function, the unit performs40 double flashes per minute.The device can be configured for remote switchingof the operating mode. The three way switch on theelectronics assembly must be set to off (0,0,0), and thenthe operating mode can then be switched by closing oneor more of the control connections to the device. Thecombinations are as per the table above.General arrangement5.0 MaintenanceDuring the working life of the unit, it should require littleor no maintenance. GRP will resist attack by most acids,alkalis and chemicals and is as resistant to concentratedacids and alkalis as most metal products. However, ifabnormal or unusual environmental conditions occur dueto plant damage or accident etc., then visual inspectionis recommended.If the unit requires cleaning, then only clean exteriorwith a damp cloth to avoid electro-static charge buildup. If a unit fault should occur, then the unit can berepaired by MEDC. All parts of the unit are replaceable.If you acquired a significant quantity of units, then itis recommended that spares are also made available.Please discuss your requirements with the Technical SalesEngineers at MEDC.If required, replacement of the electronic sub-assemblycan be carried out by competent site personnel.See previous page for details of gaining access tothe electronic sub-assembly. Other repairs should beundertaken by returning the unit to MEDC.During maintenance, if the cover/lens assembly greaseneeds to be re-applied, a PFPE (Perfluoropolyether) basedgrease such as Krytox GPL203 by DuPont or Perfluorolube22/6 by Performance Fluids Ltd should be used, toprevent damage to the O-ring.LED BEacon LD15 TM334 Issue A October 2018 www.eaton.com
