Page 1PanelMate Power Series Product Data9” Monitor Cooling Fan InstallationIntroductionThis document describes the installation of a cooling fan in the Cutler-Hammer 9”monitor.DescriptionThe Cutler-Hammer 9" color monitor is adequately ventilated and does not require forcedair cooling to meet the specified life expectancy. Actual MTBF failure rates are better thanthe quoted rates. However, heat is the largest contributor to monitor failure. By providingforced air cooling using a small DC fan, the life expectancy of the monitor may beextended. This procedure describes the installation process.Tools Required• one phillips screwdriver• one large pair of pliers• one small pair of needle nose pliersRemove the Monitor1. Disconnect the AC power from the unit.2. Unplug the monitor's video cable from the processor unit.3. Turn the two thumb nuts on the rear of the monitor 1/4 turn counter-clockwise (until itclicks) to unlock the monitor.4. Pull the monitor out of the mounted frame and set it on a solid work surface. |
