P-164000476 9395P 500kVA / 600 kVA 110Revision 002 User’s and Installation Guide7.4.13 Transfer from Normal to Bypass mode and shut down UPSTo transfer the critical load to Bypass mode and shut down the UPS, perform the following procedure:1 Transfer the critical load to bypass by performing the procedure in Section 7.3.11.2. Select CONTROLS on the main screen. SYSTEM CONTROLS screen opens up.3. Select MODULE CONTROLS. All the installed UPMs are showed here.4. Select UPM1 and then select SHUT DOWN UPM. Command confirmation pop-up screen will showup asking confirmation for the action. Select YES. The UPM shuts down.5. Repeat step 4 for all remaining UPMs. (Go to the next UPM by selecting NEXT).The UPM status indicates SHUTDOWN. The input and outout contactors open, the battery breaker ordisconnect is tripped, and the power module is turned off. The bypass source supplies the critical load.WARNINGPower is present inside the UPS cabinets.7.4.14 Single UPM shutdownTo shutdown a single UPM:1 Press the LOCK icon on the main screen. The Sign In screen is displayed. Use operator passwordto log in (factory default password is 0101).2. Select CONTROLS on the main screen. SYSTEM CONTROLS screen opens up.3. Select MODULE CONTROLS. All the installed UPMs are showed here.4. Select one of the UPMs then select "SHUT DOWN UPM". Command confirmation pop-up screenwill show up asking confirmation for the action. Select YES. After this, the UPM opens it outputcontactor and goes to IDLE. The power module remains on. The remaining UPMs supply thecritical load.5. To turn off the previously chosen power module, select SHUT DOWN UPM again. Commandconfirmation pop-up screen will show up asking confirmation for the action. Select YES. The UPMopens its input contactor and goes to SHUTDOWN. The power module is turned off. The remainingUPMs continue to supply the critical load. Logic power remains on.7.4.15 Single UPM restartTo restart a single UPM from a shutdown state:1 Press the LOCK icon on the main screen. The Sign In screen is displayed. Use operator passwordto log in (factory default password is 0101).2. Select CONTROLS on the main screen. SYSTEM CONTROLS screen opens up.3. Select MODULE CONTROLS. All the installed UPMs and their status can be seen here.4. Choose the desired UPM to start.5. Select START UPM to start UPM rectifier and inverter and to transfer the UPM to IDLE state. TheUPM will not support the load yet. Or select GO TO NORMAL to command the UPM straight tonormal mode where it will support the load. Then the UPM state is active.7.4.16 UPS and critical load shutdownTo perform maintenance or service on the critical load, shut down power to the load by performing thefollowing procedure:1. Turn off all equipment that is being powered by the UPS.
