Power Xpert Insight GatewayQuick Start Guide10• If the PXG900 is connected directly to the local area network,use Network 1.• If a second PXG900 gateway or other Ethernet device needsto be daisy-chained to the spare Ethernet connection on thisgateway, connect it to Network 2.• The total length of any Ethernet cable run must not exceed295.3 ft (90 m).• If the gateway loses power, any devices connected to Net-work 2 to bridge to the local area network will loose networkcommunication.Configuring the GatewayIf you’ve installed the USB driver, you can connect your PC to thePXG900 through the USB A to USB Mini-B cable.To connect to the PXG900 web interface:1. Open a browser and navigate to the following address:http://192.168.200.101.2. You’ll be prompted to enter a user ID and password. Thedefault for both is “admin.”3. You should see something like the following figure.Typical first-time screen for a PXG900Configuring Ethernet AccessOnce Ethernet access is configured, the PXG900 web inter-face is available via an Ethernet connection. Currently, thePXG900 supports only IPv4 addressing. You can specify the IPaddress for the gateway in one of two ways:• DHCP, where the gateway is automatically assigned an IPaddress by the DHCP server or router. If you choose thisapproach, Eaton recommends that you use DHCP Reser-vations so that you can ensure that the PXG900 is alwaysassigned the same IP address.
