Press the button on the front panel for three seconds.The UPS starts to beep and shows a status of “UPS off pending...”.The UPS then transfers to Standby mode, and the indicatorturns off.NOTE Releasing the button before three seconds returns the UPS to its originaloperating mode.2. Switch off utility power where the UPS is connected.Transferring the UPS Between ModesFrom Normal to Bypass Mode. Press any button to activate the menuoptions, then select CONTROL and GO TO BYPASS.From Bypass to Normal Mode. Press any button to activate the menuoptions, then select CONTROL and GO TO NORMAL.Retrieving the Event LogTo retrieve the Event Log through the display:1. Press any button to activate the menu options, then selectEVENT LOG.2. Scroll through the listed events.To retrieve the Event Log through the serial port:1. From the communication device connected to the serial port, sendone of the following command sequences: ESC-L (ASCII characters27 and 76) or ESC-I (ASCII characters 27 and 108).The UPS returns a header containing the UPS identification (UPStype, part number, and serial number), firmware version, and thecurrent date and time, followed by the event history.2. Use the connected communication device to view or print theinformation. The report is delivered in ASCII format.
