Theunit is intended for point-of-entry or sub-boardprotection and is connected in parallel with the powersystem via HRC fuses. This unit is available invarious models for different voltages andapplications. Check that the model you havepurchased is rated correctly for your power system..This model (SPD3Gi/A) is designed for TN-S andTT power systems in the range of 220-300V(380-520V). If your power system is TN-C, TNC-S or IT,or of a different voltage, this model is NOTsuitable. Please contact your supplier for a suitable model tosuit your application.OPERATIONTwo lamps on the front panel indicate the operationstatus of the unit. The ‘OK’ lamp indicates that poweris applied to the unit and the ‘FAULT’ lamp indicatesreduced protection. If the ‘FAULT’ lamp is lit it is likelythat the unit is damaged and must be replaced. If thebreaker/fuse is intact and power is definitely beingsupplied through the unit (check with meter) but the‘OK’ lamp doesn’t light then the unit is faulty andmust be replaced.WARRANTYEaton Power Quality warrants this unit against faultyparts and workmanship for a period of 12 monthsfrom the date of purchase. If this product fails tooperate correctly, please contact your Eatonrepresentative. This warranty doesn’t cover neglector intentional misuse. As this product is intended foruse in electrically harsh environments no claim ismade of suitability for purpose. This unit is designedto reduce the likelihood of damage, not prevent it.Please also note that an excessive surge, such asfrom a direct lightning strike to the site or a powersystem fault, may cause damage to the unit andrender it inoperable. A unit that has been damaged inthis way is not warrantable. For installation details, see over page.SPECIFICATIONSManufacturers name and model Eaton PowerwareSPD3Gi/AMethod of mounting Fixed.
