Purge BulbPump purge bulb (C) until fuel is visible and flows freely in theclear fuel tank return line. Pump bulb an additional 4 or 5times.Note: Energy is stored in the starter spring each time thehandle/rope is pulled. Generally two to six pulls, usinglight pulling force, will store enough energy to engage thestarter and spin the engine. Do not pull the rope out toend stop.4. Recoil StarterLay the unit on a flat area and keep movable attachment partsclear of all obstacles. Firmly grasp throttle grip with left handand fully depress throttle trigger to wide open position. Gentlypull recoil starter handle/rope (D) until engine fires or 2 to 3engine engagements.5. ChokeAfter engine fires, or 2 to 3 engine engagements , move chokelever (B) to the Run position ( ). Hold throttle trigger fullydepressed and pull starter handle/rope until engine starts andruns. Release throttle trigger and allow unit to warm up at idlefor several minutes.Note: If engine does not start with choke in “Run” position after 2-3 engine engagements, repeat instructions2 - 5.6. Throttle TriggerAfter engine warm-up, gradually depress throttle trigger to increase engine RPM to operating speed.ABCD
