24Maintenance and careDaily MaintenancePrior to each work day, perform the following: Remove all dirt and debris from the engine, check the coolingfins and air cleaner for clogging, and clean as necessary. Carefully remove any accumulations of dirt or debris from thesilencer and fuel tank. Check cooling air intake area at base ofcrankcase. Remove all debris. Dirt build-up in these areas canlead to engine overheating, fire, or premature wear. Lubricate the blade before use and after refueling. Check thecutter for damage or incorrect adjustment. Clean any debris or dirt from the cutting attachment. Check for loose or missing screws or components. Make surethe cutter attachment is securely fastened. Check the entire unit for leaking fuel or grease. Make sure nuts, bolts, and screws (except carburetor idlespeed adjusting screws) are tight.10-Hour Maintenance1. Close choke. Loosen cleaner cover knob and remove aircleaner cover and air filter.(air filter is located inside aircleaner cover)2. Brush dirt from filter or clean with compressed air.3. Reinstall air filter with cover, after installing air filter to cover.4. Tighten air cleaner cover knob.10/15-Hour MaintenanceRemove and clean or replace the spark plug Check plug gap. Correct gap is 0.6 mm to 0.7 mm. Inspect electrode for wear. Inspect insulator for oil or other deposits. Replace plug if needed and tighten to 10 N•m - 15 N•m (100kgf•cm to 150 kgf•cm).1.
