During the break-in period your engine performance will increase and exhaust emissionswill stabilize. Idle speed can be adjusted as required.High Altitude OperationThis engine has been factory adjusted to maintain satisfactory starting,emission, and durability performance up to 1,100 feet above sea level(ASL) (96.0 kPa). To maintain proper engine operation and emissioncompliance above 1,100 feet ASL the carburetor may need to be ad-justed by an authorized ECHO service dealer.IMPORTANTIf the engine is adjusted for operation above 1,100 feet ASL, thecarburetor must be re-adjusted when operating the engine below1,100 feet ASL, otherwise severe engine damage may result.Level 2.Tools required: Screwdriver, Tachometer (ECHO P/N 99051130017).Parts required: None.NOTEEvery unit is run at the factory and the carburetor is set in compli-ance with emission regulations. Carburetor adjustments, other thanidle speed, must be performed by an authorized ECHO dealer.1. Check idle speed and reset if necessary. If a tachometer is avail-able, idle speed screw (A) should be set to the specifications foundon page 32 "Specifications" of this manual.
