• Do not use a CD with glue or remnants of adhesive tape or labels adhering to it. They may causethe CD to get stuck inside or damage the main unit.About Cleaning a CD• Do not use accessories (stabilizers, protective seals, laser lenscleaners, etc.) sold for "improving sound performance" or "protectingCDs." The changes in CD thickness or outside dimensions made bythese accessories may cause problems in the player.• Please be sure NOT to attach any ring-shape protector (or otheraccessory) to your discs. Those protectors are commercially availableand said to protect disc and to improve sound quality (and antivibrationeffect), but they can do more harm than good in regular use. The mostcommon problems are disc insertion, disc ejections, and won't playproblems due to the protector ring coming off in the disc mechanism.• When removing the ejected disc, pull it straight out along the slot.Pressing downward in the process may scratch the recorded surfaceof the disc.• Specially-shaped CDs, like heart-shaped or octagonal CDs, cannot beplayed. Do not attempt to play them, even with an adapter, since theymay damage the player.• Use a commercially available compact disc cleaner to clean a CD,wiping gently from the center to the edge.• Do not use benzene, thinner, LP record spray or other cleaners onCDs.
