How to operate the tuner35VIStoring stations into memoryautomatically(The automatic preset mode:ASM)The automatic preset mode starts.[ASM ON] will appear on the display,and stations are automatically enteredin memory under buttons [1] to [6].These buttons are called presetbuttons.ATTENTION• Pressing the preset buttons ([1] to [6])allows you to make one-touch stationselections. The frequency of the selectedstation is indicated on.• When a new station is set in memory, thestation previously set in memory will bedeleted.• If there are fewer than six receivablestations, the stations set in the remainingbuttons will be retained.Manually setting stations intomemoryThis section covers the setting of stations inmemory under the numbered buttons.The tuned station is now memorizedand set in the button selected.Repeat the procedure to setadditional manually tuned stations inmemory, in turn, for buttons [1] to [6].These buttons are called the presetbuttons.Preset station scanThis function enables reception of all the stationsin the preset buttons for five seconds each.[P SCAN] will appear on the display,and stations stored under presetbuttons [1] through [6] will be playedfor five seconds each.The main unit will stay tuned to thedesired station.1 Press the [SELECT] (Upper) buttonfor more than two seconds until abeep is heard.CAUTIONIf the vehicle’s battery is disconnected (forrepairs to the vehicle or for removing themain unit), all stations in memory will belost. In such a case, set stations in thememory again.1 Press the [SELECT] (Left/Right)button to tune to the station to beentered in memory.2 Select any button, from [1] to [6],and press it for more than twoseconds.CAUTIONIf the vehicle’s battery is disconnected (forrepairs to the vehicle or for removing themain unit), all stations in memory will belost. In such a case, set stations in memoryagain.1 Press the [SELECT] (Lower) buttonfor more than one second.2 To stop the preset scan mode at adesired station, press the[SELECT] (Lower) button again.
