We cannot accept responsibilityfor damage caused by normal use of the cookerto any material that de-laminates or discoloursat temperatures less than 70 °C above roomtemperature (as measured by EN30 / EN60335).Installation and MaintenanceThe installation must be in accordance with the relevantinstructions in this booklet, with the relevant national andlocal regulations, and with the local gas and electricity supplycompanies’ requirements.Make sure that the gas supply is turned on and that thecooker is wired in and switched on (the cooker needselectricity).Set the clock to make sure that the oven is functional – seethe relevant section in this manual.The cooker should be serviced only by a qualified serviceengineer, and only approved spare parts should be used.Always allow the cooker to cool and then switch it off at themains before cleaning or carrying out any maintenance work,unless specified otherwise in this guide.Peculiar SmellsWhen you first use your cooker it may give off an odour. Thisshould stop after use.Before using for the first time, make sure that all packingmaterials have been removed and then, to dispelmanufacturing odours, turn the ovens to 200 °C and run for atleast an hour.Make sure the room is well ventilated to the outside air(see ‘Ventilation’ below).
