17enWhen battery fluid from a damaged battery has come intocontact with objects close by, check the respective com-ponents, clean them or replace them as required.Keep the battery away from heat and fire. Do not store thebattery in direct sunlight.Do not remove the battery from its original packaginguntil it is going to be used. Before any work on the machine itself, remove the bat-tery from the power tool. If the power tool accidentallystarts, there is danger of injury.Remove the battery only when the power tool is switchedoff.Keep the battery away from children.Keep the battery clean and protect it against moistureand water. Clean contaminated battery terminals andpower tool connections with a dry, clean cloth.Use only intact original FEIN batteries that are intendedfor your power tool. When working with and chargingincorrect, damaged, repaired or reconditioned batteries, imitations or other brands, there is danger of fire and/orexplosion.Follow the safety warnings in the operating instructionsof the battery charger.Handling hazardous dustsFor work procedures with this power tool where mate-rial is removed, dusts develop that can be hazardous toone’s health.Contact with or inhaling some dust types, e. g. asbestosand asbestos-containing materials, lead-containing coat-ings, metal, some wood types, minerals, silicate particlesfrom materials containing stone, paint solvents, woodpreservatives, antifouling paints for vessels, can triggerallergic reactions to the operator or bystanders and/orlead to respiratory infections, cancer, birth defects orother reproductive harm. The risk from inhaling dustsdepends on the exposition. Use dust extraction matchedappropriately for the developing dust, as well as personalprotective equipment and provide for good ventilation ofthe workplace. Leave the processing of asbestos-contain-ing materials to specialists.Wood and light-metal dust, hot mixtures of grinding dustand chemical materials can self-ignite under unfavourableconditions or cause an explosion. Avoid sparking in thedirection of the dust collector as well as overheating of thepower tool and the materials being sanded, empty the dustcollector/container in time, observe the material manufac-turer’s working instructions, as well as the relevant regula-tions in your country for the materials being worked.Hand/arm vibrationsThe vibration emission level given in this informationsheet has been measured in accordance with a standard-ised test given in EN 60745 and may be used to compareone tool with another. It may be used for a preliminaryassessment of exposure. The declared vibration emission level represents themain applications of the tool. However, if the tool is usedfor different applications, with different accessories orpoorly maintained, the vibration emission may differ. This may significantly increase the exposure level overthe total working period. An estimation of the level of exposure to vibrationshould also take into account the times when the tool isswitched off or when it is running but not actually doingthe job. This may significantly reduce the exposure levelover the total working period.Identify additional safety measures to protect the opera-tor from the effects of vibration such as: maintain the tooland the accessories, keep the hands warm, organisationof work patterns.Emission values for vibrationOperating Instructions.Do not use accessories not specifically intended andrecommended for this power tool by FEIN. The use of non-original FEIN accessories can lead to overheating of thepower tool and destroy it.Possible overloading of the vibration damping withespecially heavy accessories! When using the large round sanding plate(No. 63806195210, Ø115 mm) or the cleaning kit for tilejoints (No. 63719011220), the damping system can besubject to overload due to the heavy weight of the acces-sories. This becomes apparent through unpleasant andvery intense vibration of the machine.Corrective action: Reduce the speed of the machine toelectronic level 2.Due to the then possibly reduced working progress, themachine is only suitable to a limited extent for abovementioned accessories.Guide the power tool toward the work piece onlywhen switched on.The application tool can be offset in 30° steps and fas-tened in the most favourable working position.Changing the tool (AFMT12(SL)) (see page 5).Screw the clamping bolt in to the stop.Changing the tool (AFMT12Q(SL)) (see pages 6/7).Do not switch the power tool on while the clampinglever is open. Otherwise there is danger of crushesor contusions to the hand and fingers.Do not actuate the clamping lever while the powertool is running. Otherwise there is danger of injury.VibrationClassification of FEIN applicationtools according to vibration classWeightedacceleration*VC0 < 2,5 m/s2VC1 < 5 m/s2VC2 < 7 m/s2VC3 < 10 m/s 2VC4 < 15 m/s2VC5 > 15 m/s2Ka 1,5 m/s2* These values are based on a work cycle consisting of no-loadand full-load operation of the same duration. For information on the vibration class assigned to the applicationtool, please see the enclosed data sheet 3 41 30 443 06 0.OBJ_BUCH-0000000247-001.book Page 17 Thursday, January 28, 2016 2:33 PM |
