18 enDo not reach into the area of the clamping jaws.Otherwise there is danger of crushes or contusionsto the fingers.Do not operate the power tool with with open clamp-ing jaws and without an application tool! This coulddamage the power tool.When the clamping jaws are open before the appli-cation tool is inserted, pivot the clamping levertoward the front and then back again. The clampingjaws are closed now. The application tool can beinserted.Handling the battery.Operate and charge the battery only within the batteryoperating-temperature range of 0°C – 45°C (32°F –113°F). At the beginning of the charging procedure, thebattery temperature must be within the battery operat-ing-temperature range.The real percentage of the battery charge condition isonly indicated when the power tool motor is stopped.The electronics automatically switch off the motor priorto the battery being deep discharged.Notes on sanding.Press the power tool with the sanding sheet briefly andfirmly against a flat surface and briefly switch the powertool on. This provides for good adhesion and preventspremature wear.When only one tip or corner of the sanding sheet isworn, it can be removed again and reattached turned by120°.Work with the entire surface of the sanding plate, notonly with the edge or tip.When sanding with small triangle sanding plates, select ahigh oscillating frequency (electronics level 4 – 6); whensanding with the round sanding plate and the large trian-gle sanding plate, select a moderate oscillating frequency(max. electronics level 4).Sand with continuous motion applying moderate pres-sure. Applying excessive pressure does not increase therate of removal, it only wears off the sanding sheet faster.Notes on sawing.Select a high oscillating frequency.
