10-22Fine-Tuning Page AlignmentDue to variances between printer engines, some users printing edge-to-edge jobs maynotice a small amount of misalignment between the printed image and the edge of thepage. This would appear as a small amount of unprinted white space at the edge ofthe page. In these cases, the printer can be adjusted to shift the image up, down, leftor right to better align with the page. To shift the image location on the page, followthese steps:To shift the image up or down:• Make sure the printer’s display is reading “Ready”.• Press either Menu key until “Printing” appears.• Press either Item key until “Vertical Shift” appears.• Press the top Value key to shift the image up or the bottom Value key to shift theimage down. The image can be shifted in intervals of 1 point (1/72”, 0.35mm) toa maximum of 9 point (1/8”, 3.175mm).• Press the Select key to accept the new setting.To shift the image left or right:• Make sure the printer’s display is reading “Ready”.• Press either Menu key until “Printing” appears.• Press either Item key until “Horizontal Shift” appears.• Press the top Value key to shift the image left or the bottom Value key to shift theimage right. The image can be shifted in intervals of 1 point (1/72”, 0.35mm) to amaximum of 9 point (1/8”, 3.175mm).• Press the Select key to accept the new setting.
