Make sure there are no sharp edges. See below.Drain MethodThe type of drain installation depends on thefollowing:• Do local codes or ordinances require an air gap?• Is waste tee less than 18" above the floor?If the answer to either question is YES, an air gap(Method 1) must be used. If both answers are NO,either an air gap or a high drain loop (Method 2)may be used.Special consideration for a dishwasher installedon a pedestallf the dishwasher is installed on an elevatedplatform, a high drain loop of at least 32" above theplatform must be provided in addition to the air gaprequirement determined above.
