13BEFORE YOU BEGINRead these instructions completely and carefully.• IMPORTANT – Save theseinstructions for local inspector’s use.• IMPORTANT – Observe allgoverning codes and ordinances.• Note to Installer – Be sure to leave theseinstructions with the Consumer.• Note to Consumer – Keep these instructionsfor future reference.• Skill level – Installation of this appliance requiresbasic mechanical skills.• Completion time – Refrigerator Installation15 minutes• Proper installation is the responsibility of theinstaller.• Product failure due to improper installation is notcovered under the Warranty.• Do not install the refrigerator where the temperaturewill go below 60°F (16°C) because it will not run oftenenough to maintain proper temperatures.• Do not install the refrigerator where the temperaturewill go above 100°F (37°C) because it will not performproperly.• Install it on a floor strong enough to support it fullyloaded.REFRIGERATOR LOCATIONIf you have questions, call 1-800-GECARES or visit our Website at:www.GEAppliances.comInstallation RefrigeratorInstructionsModels 22 and 25Allow the following clearances for ease of installation,proper air circulation and plumbing and electricalconnections:• Sides 1/8″ (4 mm)• Top 1″ (25 mm)• Back 1″ (25 mm)If the refrigerator is against a wall on either side, allowa 1/8″ (3 mm) door clearance.CLEARANCESThe rollers have 3 purposes:n Rollers adjust so the doors close on their own whenopened about 45°.n Rollers adjust so the refrigerator is firmly positionedon the floor and does not wobble.n Rollers allow you to move the refrigerator away fromthe wall for cleaning.To adjust the rollers:Remove the base grille bypositioning hands as shown.Rotate the bottom of thegrille outward until the clipssnap out.Pull the grille away from therefrigerator.Using a screwdriver, turnthe two front rolleradjusting screws clockwiseto raise the refrigerator,counterclockwise to lower it.Replace the grille so thenotch in the grille will fitaround the bottom doorhinge.Tilt the top of the grilletoward the refrigerator andinsert the long metal clipsinto the top of the ovalopenings at the bottom ofthe refrigerator.Rotate the bottom of thegrille toward the refrigeratoruntil it snaps into place.ROLLERSIf the refrigerator has an icemaker, it will have to beconnected to a cold water line.
