Automatic Icemaker (on some models)The icemaker will produce seven cubesper cycle—approximately 100–130 cubesin a 24-hour period, depending on freezercompartment temperature, roomtemperature, number of door openingsand other use conditions. If the refrigerator is operated before thewater connection is made to the icemaker, set the power switch toO (off). When the refrigerator has been connectedto the water supply, set the power switch toI (on). The green light will come on.The icemaker will fill with water when itcools to 15°F. A newly-installed refrigeratormay take 12 to 24 hours to begin makingice cubes.Throw away the first few batches of ice toallow the water line to clear.Be sure nothing interferes with the sweepof the feeler arm. When the bin fills to the level of the feelerarm, the icemaker will stop producing ice.It is normal for several cubes to be joinedtogether. If ice is not used frequently, old ice cubeswill become cloudy, taste stale and shrink. If ice cubes get stuck in the icemaker, thegreen power light will blink. To correct this, set the power switch toO (off) and removethe cubes. Set the power switch toI (on) torestart the icemaker. After the icemaker has been turned onagain, there will be a delay of about 45minutes before the icemaker resumesoperations.NOTE: In homes with lower-than-average waterpressure, you may hear the icemaker cycle multipletimes when making one batch of ice.About crisper removal.www.GEAppliances.comNot all features are on all models.Consumer SupportTroubleshooting TipsOperating InstructionsSafety InstructionsInstallation InstructionsAbout the automatic icemaker.A newly-installed refrigerator may take 12–24 hours to begin making ice.Crisper RemovalTo Remove:These drawers can be removed easily bylifting up slightly while pulling the drawerpast thestop location. When the door cannot be fully opened, remove the drawer farthest from the doorfirst.
