18Customer Service Troubleshooting TipsOperating Instructions Safety InstructionsInstallation InstructionsCustomer Service Troubleshooting Tips Installation InstructionsSafety InstructionsOperating InstructionsCustomer Service Troubleshooting Tips Installation InstructionsSafety InstructionsOperating InstructionsReversing the door swing.Read these instructions completely and carefully.Important NotesNOTE: Doors on dispenser models do not reverse.When reversing the door swing:n Read the instructions all the way through beforestarting.n Handle parts carefully to avoid scratching paint.n Set screws down by their related parts to avoidusing them in the wrong places.n Provide a non-scratching work surface forthe doors.IMPORTANT: Once you begin, do not move thecabinet until door-swing reversal is completed.These instructions are for changing the hingesfrom the right side to the left side—if you everwant to change the hinges back to the right side,follow these same instructions and reverse allreferences to left and right.Tools Requiredn Phillips screwdrivern Masking tapen T20 or T25 Torxdriver, whichever your modelrequiresn Putty knife or thin-blade screwdrivern 3/8≤ socket and ratchet (a 6-point socket isrecommended)Removing the doors.Removing the DoorsUnplug the refrigerator from its electrical outlet.Empty all door shelves, including the dairy compartment.CAUTION: Do not let either door drop to the floor. To do so could damage the door stop.Remove the Freezer DoorTape the door shut with masking tape.With a Phillips screwdriver, remove the hinge over on top of the freezer door(on some models). With a Torxdriver, remove the 2 Torx screws that holdthe top hinge to the cabinet.Lift the hinge straight up to free the hinge pin from the socket in thetop of the door.Remove the tape and tilt the door away from the cabinet. Lift it off thebottom socket.Set the door on a non-scratching surface with the outside up.5432121
