12Consumer Support Troubleshooting Tips Care and Cleaning Operating Instructions Safety InstructionsUsing the oven.To avoid possible burns, place the racks in the desired position before you turn the oven on.Before you begin…The racks have stops, so that when placedcorrectly on the supports, they will stopbefore coming completely out, and willnot tilt.When placing and removing cookware,pull the rack out until it stops.The bake burner is under the oven floor.Do not place foods on the oven bottomfor cooking.To remove a rack, pull it toward you,tilt the front end up and pull it out.To replace, place the end of the rack(stop-locks) on the support, tilt up thefront and push the rack in.CAUTION: When you are usingthe rack in the lowest position (A), you will needto use caution when pulling the rack out. Werecommend that you pull the rack out severalinches and then, using two pot holders, pull therack out by holding the sides of it. The rack is lowand you could be burned if you place your hand inthe middle of the rack and pull all the way out. Bevery careful not to burn your hand on the doorwhen using the rack in the lowest position (A).The oven has 7 rack positions.How to Set the Oven for Baking or RoastingTouch the BAKE pad.Touch the + or – pads until thedesired temperature is displayed.Touch the START/ON pad.The oven will start automatically. Thedisplay will show “PrE” while preheating.When the oven reaches the selectedtemperature, the oven control will beepseveral times and the display will showthe oven temperature.To change the oven temperature during BAKEcycle, touch the BAKE pad and then the + or –pads to get the new temperature.Check food for doneness atminimum time on recipe. Cooklonger if necessary.Touch the CLEAR/OFF pad whenbaking is finished and then removethe food from the oven.NOTE: A cooling fan will automatically turn onand off to cool internal parts. This is normal, andthe fan may continue to run even after the ovenin turned off.If baking four cake layers at the sametime, place two layers on rack B and twolayers on rack D.
