6IntroductionThis manual is designed to provide product, performanceand application information to our customers and theirarchitects and engineers for use in selection and designof a zonal comfort control system utilizing GE Zoneline ®Packaged Terminal Air Conditioners (PTAC) and PackagedTerminal Heat Pumps (PTHP). GE Zoneline PTACs and PTHPsare self-contained units designed for through-the-wallinstallations in hotels, motels, apartments, hospitals,nursing homes, add-on rooms and many other installations.Zoneline units provide individual room or zone control in bothcooling and heating operation. There is a model for practicallyevery application, ranging in cooling capacity from 7,200 to14,800 BTUH and heating capacity from 6,400 to 14,000 BTUHin heat pump operation. See pages 42 and 54 for resistanceheaters available.Zoneline offers a two-tier lineup: The Deluxe Line consists ofthe 4100 Series with electric resistance heat, the 4100 SeriesDry Air 25 Models with enhanced dehumidification for hotand humid climates and the 6100 Series heat pump. The6100 Series heat pump features reverse cycle defrost andsimultaneous supplemental resistance heat, when needed,to maintain room comfort.
