3232The Face Detection mode will detect and focus on faces ofpersons during picture shooting so that the faces will beclearer.1. In Shooting Mode, press the Left/Face Detection button toturn on the Face Detection and an icon ( ) appears onthe LCD.2. Hold the camera securely, and point the camera towardsthe subject to start the face detection process. When thecamera detects a face, a white rectangular frame will bedrawn around the face. (Note: For best results, the face ofthe subject should be relatively large on the LCD screen,and the subject should be facing the camera as front on aspossible.)3. Press Shutter halfway to focus on the subject.4. Press Shutter fully to capture the image.5. Press the Left/Face Detection button to turn off FaceDetection.Face Detection
