Always run the dishwasher to test for leaks.Latch SystemThe door switches are rated at 13.5 VDC. The doorlatch switches open and close the line and neutralbreak relays on the main control. The latch assemblyis located on top of the tub. A strike on the dooractivates the switches, and the latch assembly holdsthe door in when the door is latched closed.The dishwasher must be pulled out 6 to 8 inchesfrom its installed position to replace the latch switch.To Replace the Door Latch / Switch Assembly1. Remove power to the dishwasher.2. Remove the dishwasher from its installedposition, approximately 6 to 8 inches.3. Remove two screws, (R2 Robertson / CarpentersBit or #2 Phillips screwdriver).4. Disconnect the wiring to the switch.Latch Switch DiagnosisDiagnoses can be accomplished in Consumer ErrorMode (see Consumer Error Mode) or with an ohmmeter at the main control board as described below.1. Access the main board.2. Locate and disconnect connector J711.3. Check continuity from pin 3 (tan and red) to pin4 (violet and yellow) and pin 3 (tan and red) topin 5 (white and silver).
