GEH-5774BINSTRUCTIONSDimension TM 1000 LuminaireREAD THOROUGHLY BEFORE INSTALLINGG E N E R A LThis luminaire is designed for outdoor lightingapplications, and should not be used in areas of limitedventilation, or in high ambient temperature enclosures; itshould be installed and maintained according to followingrecommendations.U N P A C K I N GThis luminaire has been properly packed so that no partsshould have been damaged during transit. Inspect toconfirm.INSTALLATIONTo install, it is necessary to open the luminaire. A flatblade screw driver, socket wrenches for 1/4, 5/16, 3/8, and9/16 hex-head bolts are required.Make reflector aiming and wiring adjustments prior tomounting the luminaire on the pole. Power leads should bepulled as mounting parts are assembled.REFLECTOR AIMING ADJUSTMENTReflectors can be rotated to any of four beam aimingpositions by removing the screws holding the reflector tothe reflector plate, rotating the reflector into the desiredposition, and replacing the screws. Take care in replacingthe reflector plate so that the lamp socket leads are notpinched between the plate and the housing. (See Figure 1)WIRING AND WIRING ADJUSTMENTSMake all electrical connections in accordance withthe National Electrical Code and any applicablelocal code requirements.Verify that supply voltage is correct by comparing itto nameplate. If unit is designated as multivolt or multiwatt, follow specific instruction.Do not remove insulated connectors from wires notneeded for required voltage connection.Terminal Board will accept power leads from AWG No.14 through No. 6 wire size.IF SINGLE VOLTAGE:All single voltage ballasts are pre-wired such that userneed only connect the supply conductors.IF MULTIVOLT: (120/208/240/277 volts)Connect the ballast lead with the insulated terminal tothe desired voltage terminal as indicated on the ballastterminal nameplate.Figure 1WARNINGRisk of electric shock• Turn power off before servicing– see instructionsThese instructions do not purport to cover all details or variations in equipment nor to provide for every possible contingency to be met in connection with installation, operation ormaintenance.
