INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONSStep 12. Connect drain lineFollow all local codes and ordinances.DRAIN LINE PREPARATION1. All models are supplied with a pre-attached 78”long corrugated drain hose. The molded end isdesigned to fit 5/8”, 3/4” or 1” diameter connectionsto the waste tee or disposer. Cut on premarked lineas required for your installation as illustrated inFigure Q.Note: DO NOT CUT CORRUGATED PORTIONOF HOSE.Cutting Lines1" 3/4" 5/8"Do not cut corrugatedportion of hoseCut LinesFigure QIf the location requires a longer drain hose, add upto 42” length to the factory installed hose. Use 5/8”inside diameter hose and thin wall copper couplerto join the hose ends. Ifpower cord is used, plug it into the wall outlet andgo to Step 14.If dishwasher is to be directly wired to housewiring, continue with this step.Remove junction box cover.Secure the power supply cable to the back of thejunction box with a strain relief (not supplied).Connect incoming wires to dishwasher wires usingwire nuts of appropriate size. Connect incomingwhite to white wire, black to black wire andincoming ground to green wire as shown inFigure S. Replace the junction box cover.If house wiring is not 2-wire asshown in Figure S with a groundwire, a ground must be provided bythe installer.When house wiring is aluminum, besure to use UL/CSA. recognized anti-oxidant compound and aluminum-to-copperconnectors.CAUTIONWARNINGCheck to be sure that wiring is notpinched or in contact with the doorsprings.CAUTIONWARNINGFigure SNOTE: Check that harnessleads are threaded throughsmall hole in bracket.
