They candamage it.Clean the outside with a good appliance polishwax. The outside cabinet finish is durable, but itcan scratch. So use no scouring pads, or harsh orgritty cleaners.The inside usually takes care of itself. If itshould ever need cleaning, use a mild cleansingpowder. Scouring pads and harsh cleaners canmar the finish.Alternatively, to remove stains inside thePermaTuf® tub or, if you wish to refresh theinside of your unit (including the waterdistribution system), you may also use citric acid.Fill both detergent cups completely with citricacid and run dishwasher through a full cyclewithout any dishes. You may repeat as often asyou feel necessary.Citric acid is widely available in powder form atmost drugstores across the country.
