HOW TO USE THE UNICOWLEBefore operating your dishwasher the first time...Atbch the Faucet Adapter. The special faucet adaptersupplied with your dishwasher must be assembled to thesink faucet before you can use your dishwasher.The faucet adapter is designed to fit standard spoutshaving internal or external threads. You will find theadapter and two washers in the “Faucet Adapter”packet in your dishwasher.To install faucet adapter, first removethe old aerator or trim ring on your faucet spout.If faucet has internal threads:Insert both washers into thefaucet adapter and attach it mto the faucet spout.If the faucet adapter threads sdo not match your faucet spout,your local hardware or plumbingsupply store normally has additional fittings toadapt your faucet spout to the special faucet adapter.If faucet has external threads: NOTE: A sink spray attachment hose can burst if itInsert the thinner of the two is installed on the same sink with your dishwashe~washers into the faucet adapter We suggest that you disconnect the sink sprayand attach it to the faucet spout. attachment if your sink has one and plug the hole.BHow to connect the Unicouple1. It will thensnap into position to lock the Unicouple in place.The Unicouple’s small hose carries water fromthe faucet to the dishwasher. Its large hose carriesdrain water to the sink. Be sure Unicouple ispointing toward the sink bowl drain opening andthe sink drain is open for water that will drain fromyour dishwasher. If your dishwasher drains into adisposer, operate the disposer until it is completelyempty before starting the dishwasher.3. Turn hot water fully on before starting the dishwasher.How to use the Faucet-Flo nozzleThe Faucet-Flo nozzle ispart of the Unicouple connector.Operate the nozzle by depressingthe pressure release button on thefront of the Unicouple connector.You will find the Faucet-Flonozzle useful for several reasons.For example:l It allows you to flush thecold water out of the hotwater line so that you can betterregulate your water temperature.l It allows you to test thetemperature of the waterbef;re starting your dishwasher.4
