Scrape off bones, seeds, skins, toothpicks and other hard solids. Itis also best to remove hard-shelledvegetables, meat trimmings, leafyvegetables and crusts. Removeexcessive quantities of oil or grease.2. Remove large quantities of anyfood. Your dishwasher has a built-insoft food disposer that pulverizessoft food bits and flushes themaway. It can handle smll amountsof soft foods, but large amountswill be difficult to handle.3. Try to remove food scraps andplace dishes in dishwasher beforesoil has a chance to dry and becomehard.
