Hot air or steam whichescapes can cause burns to hands, faceand/or eyes.n Do not heat unopened food containers.Pressure could build up and the containercould burst, causing an injury.n Place the oven shelf in the desired positionwhile the oven is cool. If shelves must behandled when hot, do not let pot holdercontact the heating elements.n Pulling out the shelf to the stop-lock is aconvenience in lifting heavy foods. It is alsoa precaution against burns from touchinghot surfaces of the door oroven walls.n When using cooking or roasting bags in theoven, follow the manufacturer’s directions.n Keep the oven vent unobstructed.n Keep the oven free from grease buildup.n Do not use the oven to dry newspapers.If overheated, they can catch on fire.OVENn Avoid scratching the glass cooktop. Thecooktop can be scratched with items suchas sharp instruments, rings or otherjewelry and rivets on clothing.n Do not operate the radiant surface units ifthe glass is broken. Spillovers or cleaningsolution may penetrate a broken cooktopand create a risk of electrical shock.Contact a qualified technicianimmediately should your glass cooktopbecome broken.n Never use the glass cooktop surface as acutting board.n Do not place or store items that can meltor catch fire on the glass cooktop, evenwhen it is not being used.n Be careful when placing spoons or otherstirring utensils on glass cooktop surfacewhen it is in use. They may become hotand could cause burns.n Do not stand on the glass cooktop. Theweight may cause the top to break.n Avoid heating an empty pan. Doing somay damage the cooktop and the pan.n Clean the cooktop with caution. If a wetsponge or cloth is used to wipe spills on ahot surface unit, be careful to avoid steamburns. Some cleaners can producenoxious fumes if applied to a hot surface.NOTE: We recommend that you avoidwiping any surface unit areas until theyhave cooled and the indicator light hasgone off. Sugar spills are the exception tothis. Please seeCleaning the glass cooktopsection.n When the cooktop is cool, use only therecommended cleaning cream to cleanthe cooktop.n To avoid possible damage to the cookingsurface, do not apply cleaning cream tothe glass surface when it is hot.n After cleaning, use a dry cloth or papertowel to remove all cleaning cream residue.n Read and follow all instructions andwarnings on the cleaning cream labels.
