Be careful whenremoving and lifting the door.Do not lift the door by the handle.To remove the door:Fully open the door.Pull the hinge locks down towardthe door frame, to the unlockedposition. A tool, such as a smallflat-blade screwdriver, may berequired.Firmly grasp both sides of the doorat the top.Close door to the door removalposition, which is halfway betweenthe broil stop position and fullyclosed.Lift door up and out until the hingearm is clear of the slot.To replace the door:Firmly grasp both sides of the doorat the top.With thedoor at thesame angle asthe removalposition, seat theindentation ofthe hinge arminto the bottomedge of the hinge slot. The notch inthe hinge arm must be fully seatedinto the bottom of the slot.Fully open the door. If the door willnot fully open, the indentation is notseated correctly in the bottom edgeof the slot.Push the hinge locks up against thefront frame of the oven cavity to thelocked position.Close the oven door.The gasket is designed with a gap at thebottom to allow for proper air circulation.Do not rub or clean the door gasket—it has an extremely low resistance toabrasion.If you notice the gasket becoming worn,frayed or damaged in any way or if ithas become displaced on the door,you should have it replaced.Hinge lockIndentationBottomedgeof slotHinge lockSlotPush hinge locks up to lock.Pull hinge locks down to unlock.Hinge armHingearmRemoval positionwww.GEAppliances.caCleaning the Oven DoorTo clean the inside of the door: Because the area inside the gasket is cleanedduring the self-clean cycle, you do not need toclean this by hand. The area outside the gasket and the door linercan be cleaned with a soap-filled steel wool orplastic pad, hot water and detergent. Rinsewell with a vinegar and water solution.To clean the outside of the door: Use soap and water to thoroughly clean thetop, sides and front of the oven door. Rinsewell. You may also use a glass cleaner to cleanthe glass on the outside of the door. Do not letwater drip into the vent openings. If any stain on the door vent trim is persistent,use a soft abrasive cleaner and a sponge-scrubber for best results. Spillage of marinades, fruit juices, tomatosauces and basting materials containing acidsmay cause discoloration and should be wipedup immediately. When surface is cool, cleanand rinse.
