629-6185WARNING SELF-CLEANING OVEN SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS (on some models)The self-cleaning feature operates the oven at temperatures high enough to burn away food soils in the oven.Follow these instructions for safe operation.■ Do not touch oven surfaces during self-cleanoperation. Keep children away from the oven duringself-cleaning. Failure to follow these instructionsmay cause burns.■ Before operating the self-clean cycle, remove pans,shiny metal oven racks, and other utensils from theoven. Only porcelain-coated oven racks may be leftin the oven.■ Before operating the self-clean cycle, wipe greaseand food soils from the oven. Excessive amountof grease may ignite leading to smoke damage toyour home.■ If the self-cleaning mode malfunctions, turn theoven off and disconnect the power supply. Have itserviced by a qualified technician.■ Do not use oven cleaners. No commercial ovencleaner or oven liner protective coating of any kindshould be used in or around any part of the oven.■ Do not clean the door gasket. The door gasket isessential for a good seal. Care should be taken notto rub, damage or move the gasket.■ IMPORTANT: The health of some birds is extremelysensitive to the fumes given off during the self-cleaning cycle of any range. Move birds to anotherwell-ventilated room.WARNING WARMING DRAWER SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS (on some models)■ The purpose of the warming drawer is to hold hotcooked foods at serving temperature. Bacteria willgrow very rapidly in food that is between 40 and140°F (4 and 60°C). Do not put cold food inwarming drawer. Do not keep food in the warmingdrawer for more than 2 hours. Failure to followthese instructions may result in foodborne illness.■ Do not leave paper products, plastics, cannedfood, or combustible materials in the drawer.They may ignite.■ Do not touch the heating element or the interiorsurface of the drawer. These surfaces may be hotenough to cause burns.■ Use care when opening the drawer. Open the drawera crack, and let hot air or steam escape beforeremoving or replacing food. Hot air or steam thatescapes can cause burns to hands, face, and/or eyes.■ Do not use aluminum foil to line the warmingdrawer. Foil is an excellent heat insulator and willtrap heat beneath it. Doing so blocksair flow through the oven and may causecarbon monoxide poisoning. Never place foilor oven liners on the oven bottom. They cantrap heat causing risk of smoke or fire.■ Stand away from the range when opening the ovendoor. Hot air or steam which escapes can causeburns to hands, face and/or eyes.■ Never place cooking utensils, pizza or baking stones,or any type of foil or liner on the oven floor. Theseitems can trap heat or melt, resulting in damage tothe product and risk of shock, smoke or fire.■ Place oven racks in desired location while oven iscool. If rack must be moved while oven is hot, becareful to avoid touching hot surfaces.■ Do not leave items such as paper, cooking utensils,or food in the oven when not in use. Items stored inan oven can ignite.■ Do not leave items on the cooktop near the ovenvent. Items may overheat resulting in a risk of fire orburns.■ Never broil with door open. Open-door broiling isnot permitted due to overheating of control knobs.
