Use the razor scraper to movethe spill to a cool area on thecooktop.b. Remove the spill withpaper towels.Any remaining spillover should beleft until the surface of the cooktophas cooled.Don’t use the surface units againuntil all of the residue has beencompletely removed.NOTE: If pitting or indentation in the glasssurface has already occurred, the cooktopglass will have to be replaced. In this case,service will be necessary.Damage from Sugary Spills and Melted PlasticOur testing shows that ifyou are cooking high sugarmixtures such as jelly orfudge and have a spillover,it can cause permanentdamage to the glass surfaceunless the spillover isimmediately removed.Be careful not to slide pots andpans across your cooktop.
