CARE AND CLEANING(continued)Oven Light Bulb (on some models)The light bulb is located in the upper left corner (may vary) of the oven.Before replacing your oven light bulb, disconnect the electrical power to therange at the main fuse or circuit breaker panel or unplug the range from theelectrical outlet. Let the bulb cool completely before removing it. Replacethe bulb with a 40 watt appliance bulb only. Do not touch a hot bulb with adamp cloth as the bulb will break.Control Panel and KnobsIt’s a good idea to wipe the control panel after eachuse of the oven. Clean with mild soap and water orvinegar and water, rinse with clean water and polishdry with a soft cloth.Do not use abrasive cleansers, strong liquid cleaners,plastic scouring pads or oven cleaners on the controlpanel—they will damage the finish. A 50/50 solutionof vinegar and hot water works well.The control knobs maybe removed for easiercleaning. To remove knob,pull it straight off thestem. If knob is difficultto remove, place a towelor dishcloth between the knob and control panel andpull gently. Wash the knobs in soap and water or avinegar and hot water solution.Metal parts can be cleaned with soap and water.Do not use steel wool, abrasives, ammonia, acidsor commercial oven cleaners. Dry with a soft cloth.Removable Broiler Drawer (on some models)To remove:1. When the broiler is cool, remove the grid and pan.2. Pull the broiler drawer out until it stops, then pushit back in about one inch.3. Grasp the handle, lift and pull the broiler drawer out.Clean the broiler drawer with hot soapy water.To replace:Hold the broiler drawer in the raised position as youslide it partway into the range. Then lower the drawerand push it completely closed.Broiler Pan and GridAfter broiling, remove thebroiler pan from the oven.Remove the grid from thepan. Carefully pour out greasefrom the pan into a propercontainer. Wash and rinse thebroiler pan and grid in hotwater with a soap-filled orplastic scouring pad.If food has burned on, sprinkle the grid with detergentwhile hot and cover with wet paper towels or a dishcloth.Soaking the pan will remove burned-on foods.The broiler pan and grid may be cleaned with acommercial oven cleaner.Both the broiler pan and grid can also be cleaned in adishwasher.Do not store a soiled broiler pan and grid anywherein the range.CAUTION: Do not clean the broiler pan or grid ina self-cleaning oven.GridPan24
