Aluminum residuesometimes appears as scratches on thecooktop but can be removed if cleanedimmediately. Because of its low meltingpoint, thin weight aluminum should notbe used.Copper:recommendedCopper Bottoms:usable, but not recommendedPans with copper bottoms may leaveresidue appearing as scratches. Removeany residue immediately after use. Do notlet a pot boil dry. Overheated metal canbond to the glass cooktop and leave apermanent stain if it is not removedimmediately.Porcelain Enamel-Covered Cast Iron:recommendedAs long as the cookware is coveredcompletely with porcelain enamel, thiscookware is recommended. Caution isrecommended for cast-iron cookwarethat is not completely covered withsmooth porcelain enamel, since it mayscratch the glass ceramic cooktop.Glass-Ceramic/Stoneware:not recommendedPoor performance. May scratch thesurface.NOTE: Use pans that match the diameterof the surface element. Cooking performancewill not be as good if the cookware is eithersmaller or larger than the surface element.Check pans for flat bottoms byusing a straight edge.Pans with rounded, curved,ridged or warped bottoms are notrecommended. Pan Detection/Sizingmay not work properly with thesetypes of pans.For Best Results Place only dry pans on the surfaceelements. Do not place lids on thesurface elements, particularly wet lids. Do not use woks that have supportrings. This type of wok will not heat onglass surface elements. Use only a flat-bottomed wok,available from many popular cookwaremanufacturers. The bottom of the wokshould have the same diameter as thesurface element to insure propercontact. Some special cooking proceduresrequire specific cookware such aspressure cookers, deep-fat fryers, etc.All cookware must have flat bottomsthat match the size of the surfaceelements.Do not place wet panson the glass cooktop.Do not use woks with supportrings on the glass cooktop.Use flat-bottomed wokson the glass cooktop.Pan Detection/Sizing will work properly with these types of cookware.Pan Detection/Sizing will not work with these types of pans.PANPANPANPANPANPANxPANPANx
