An occasional thoroughwiping with a solution of baking soda andwater keeps the interior fresh.Spills and spatters are easy to removefrom walls and floor if they are wiped upsoon after the food is removed. Somespatters wipe up with a paper towel, somemay require a damp cloth. Removegreasy spatters with a sudsy cloth, thenrinse and dry.Do not clean with metal scouring pads. Piecescan break off the pad, causing electrical shock.Wipe up spatters on the window on theinside of the door daily. When thewindow is soiled, wash it with a dampcloth. Rinse thoroughly and dry.Wipe metal and plastic parts on theinside of the door frequently. Use a dampcloth to remove all soil.Do not use abrasives, such as cleaning powdersor steel and plastic pads. They may mar thesurface.OutsideClean the outside of the microwave ovenwith soap and a damp cloth, then rinsewith a damp cloth and dry. Wipe thewindow clean with a damp cloth. Chromeis best wiped with a damp cloth and thenwith a dry towel.Door SurfaceWhen cleaning surfaces of door and oventhat come together on closing the door,use only mild, non-abrasive soaps ordetergents applied with a sponge orsoft cloth.40Care and cleaning of the cooking center.Be sure electrical power is off and all surfaces are cool before cleaning any part of the cooking center.How to Remove Packaging TapeTo assure no damage is done to the finishof the product, the safest way to removethe adhesive left from packaging tape onnew appliances is an application of ahousehold liquid dishwashing detergent,mineral oil or cooking oil.Apply with a soft cloth and allow to soak.Wipe dry and then apply an appliancepolish to thoroughly clean and protectthe surface.NOTE: The plastic tape (on some models) mustbe removed from all chrome trim. It cannot beremoved if it is baked on.
