25Timedcooking(delayedstart andautomaticstop)Timed cooking allows you to set the oven tocook for a selected length of time and turn offautomatically. On double oven models, youwill not be able to set a timed cooking orcleaning function in both ovens at the sametime.To delay the start of cooking:NOTE: Before beginning, make sure the clockshows the correct time of day.To avoid possible burns, place the racksin the correct position before you turn theoven on.Turn the Mode Selector Knob to TIMED(on double oven models, select UPPERTIMED or LOWER TIMED, depending onthe oven you are using).Turn the Oven Control Knob to the desiredcooking function.Using the Temperature Control Knob,set the desired temperature, up to 500°F.Press the START TIME button.Press the increase “” or decrease “”button to set the time of day you want theoven to turn on and start cooking.If the increase “” or decrease “” buttonis not pressed within 5 seconds of pressingthe START TIME button, you will need topress START TIME again.Press the COOK TIME button.Press the increase “” or decrease “”button to set the cooking time. (Themaximum cooking time is 11 hours and50 minutes. The minimum cooking timeis 1 minute.)If the increase “” or decrease “” buttonis not pressed within 5 seconds of pressingthe COOK TIME button, you will need topress COOK TIME again.NOTE: The OVEN ON & HEATING lights andthe oven interior lights will not turn on until theoven starts heating.The display will return to the time of day andshow the word DELAY. When the start time isreached, the display will show the word COOKand the cooking time countdown.At this time, the OVEN ON light and the oveninterior lights turn on and remain on until theend of timed cooking.The oven will continue to cook for theprogrammed amount of time, then turn offautomatically.At the end of timed cooking, the wordCOOK will blink in the display and an endof cycle tone will sound. To clear the end ofcycle tone, press any button. Turn the OvenControl Knob to OFF and the ModeSelector Knob to NORMAL.NOTE:• You will hear a convection fan while cookingwith convection features.• A cooling fan will turn on to cool internalparts. This is normal, and the fan maycontinue to run even after the oven isturned off.• The WARM temperature setting of this ovenis available to keep hot cooked foods warm.Food kept in the oven longer than two hoursat these low temperatures may not be safeto eat.• Foods that spoil easily, such as milk, eggs,fish, stuffings, poultry and pork, should notbe allowed to sit for more than one hourbefore or after cooking. Room temperaturepromotes the growth of harmful bacteria. Besure the oven light is off because heat fromthe bulb will speed harmful bacteria growth.Timed CookingWall Oven
