(on some models) ge.comTo Use the DispenserSelect CUBED, CRUSHED or WATER.Press the glass gently against the top of thedispenser cradle.The spill shelf is not self-draining. To reducewater spotting, the shelf and its grille should becleaned regularly.If no water is dispensed when the refrigerator is firstinstalled, there may be air in the water line system. Pressthe dispenser arm for at least two minutes to removetrapped air from the water line and to fill the watersystem. To flush out impurities in the water line, throwaway the first six glassfuls of water.CAUTION: Never put fingers or any other objects intothe ice crusher discharge opening.Locking the DispenserPress the LOCK pad for 3 seconds to lock thedispenser and control panel. To unlock, pressand hold the pad again for 3 seconds.Dispenser LightThe LIGHT pad turns the night light in thedispenser on and off. The light also comes onwhen the dispenser cradle is pressed. On somemodels, if this light burns out, it should bereplaced with a 6 watt 12V maximum bulb.Door AlarmUse Door Alarm to sound if either door is openfor more than 3 minutes. The alarm will stoponce the door is closed. For LCD models, apopup screen will appear. Pintsand Liters are also available for LCD models.LCD ModelsAccess By: Home > Options > DispenserOptions > Precise Fill > Set AmountActivate By: Using the arrow buttons to selectthe desired amount. Press MORE UNITS to selectbetween CUPS, OUNCES, PINTS or LITERS.Non-LCD ModelsPress the WATER pad.Press the CUPS or OUNCES pad.Select the precise amount of water youwould like dispensed.If you selected OUNCES, press the arrowpads on either side of the display toselect the number of ounces youwould like to have dispensed between1–99 ounces.If you selected CUPS, press the arrowpads on the left of the display to selectthe whole cups (1–16 cups) and/orthe arrow pads on the right side of thedisplay to select fractions of a cup(1/4–3/4 cups).Press the cup against the cradle and waterwill begin dispensing. It will automaticallystop when the amount set has beendispensed. The display will show thereis no water left to dispense, then reset.NOTE: Do not leave the dispenser unattended whenwater is being dispensed.If you would like to stop dispensing waterbefore the specified amount has beendispensed, just remove the cup from thecradle. The display will show the amountleft to dispense.When you need to speed up ice production, usethe Quick Ice feature. While this feature is turnedon, the freezer fan runs continuously for 48 hours,or until the feature is turned OFF. During thisperiod, ice production will increase up to 40%.Models with the integrated ice feature systemrequire at FIRST USE at least half an 8 oz. glassof ice to be dispensed every 6 to 12 hours.
