Please followdirections below to calibrate the dishwasher tothe hardness of your tap water.Determine the Hardness of Your Tap WaterIn the bag containing these instructions, you shouldfind a water hardness test strip package. Read theinstructions on the package, remove the test strip andfollow the instructions to determine the hardness levelof your tap water. You will use this information tocalibrate your dishwasher to dispense the optimalamount of detergent.Water hardness test strip indicationSet Control to Calibration ModeFrom the standby mode (dishwasher not runninga cycle and the panel lights on), enter the waterhardness selection mode.Press the COOKWARE and DELAY HOURS pads at thesame time for 3 seconds.Enter Water HardnessOnce in the water hardness calibration mode, the3-digit display will appear and display a numberfrom a 1 to 5. If the water hardness has never beenentered, the display will show 5. Press the COOKWAREpad to raise the value or the NORMAL WASH pad tolower the value shown on the display.
