Do not use to heat cold foodother than crisping crackers, chips or dry cereal.Do not line the warming drawer or pan withaluminum foil. Foil is an excellent heat insulatorand will trap heat beneath it. This will upset theperformance of the drawer and could damage theinterior finish.Allow approximately 25 minutes for the warming drawerto preheat.[] Do not put liquid or water in the warming drawer.[] All foods placed in the warming drawer should becovered with a lid or aluminum foil. When warmingpastries or breads, the cover should be vented toallow moisture to escape.[] Food should be kept hot in its cooking container ortransferred to a heat-safe serving dish.NOTE: Plastic containers or plastic wrap will melt ifin direct contact with the drawer, pan or a hot utensil.Melted plastic may not be removable and is not coveredunder your warranty.[] Remove serving spoons, etc., before placingcontainers in warming drawer.Temperature Selection ChartTo keep several different foods hot, set the control to thefood needing the highest setting.[] The temperature, type and amount of food, and thetime held will affect the quality of the food.[] Repeated opening of the drawer allows the hot air toescape and the food to cool.[] With large loads it may be necessary to use a higherwarming drawer setting and cover some of thecooked food items.[] Do not use plastic containers or plastic wrap.Food Type Control SettingCasserole MED/2Chili HI/3Pizza MED/2Potatoes, baked HI/3Tortilla Chips LOllWaffles LOllTo Crisp Stale Items[] Place food in low-sided dishes or pans.[] Preheat on LOll setting.[] Check crispness after 45 minutes.
