Always broil with the doorclosed.Touch BROIL.Place the food on a broiler grid in abroiler pan.For double oven models only,touch UPPER OVEN or LOWER OVENto select the desired oven.Follow suggested rack positions inthe Broiling Guide.The size, weight, thickness, starting temperatureand your preference for doneness will affectbroiling times. This guide is based on meats atrefrigerator temperature.Touch HIGH BROIL orLOW BROIL.Touch START.NOTE: A cooling fan may automatically turn onand off to cool internal parts. This is normal, andthe fan may continue to run even after the ovenis turned off.The broiler does not need to bepreheated for most broiling. However,foods that cook quickly, such as thinstrips of meat or fish may require a shortpreheating period of 2 to 3 minutes toallow the food surface to brown in thesame time the food takes to be cookedthroughout.Turn the food only once during broiling.NOTE: Broil will not work if the temperatureprobe is plugged in. Never leave your probe insidethe oven during a broil cycle.To set the second oven, select PRESSTO MAKE LOWER OVEN SELECTIONS orPRESS TO MAKE UPPER OVEN SELECTIONSas needed and follow the above steps.The set temperature may be changed bytouching CHANGE TIME-TEMP.The settings may be cancelled bytouching CANCEL.The timer can be set by touchingSET KITCHEN TIMER. See the Kitchen timersection.When broiling is finished, touchCANCEL.Close the door. Always broil withthe door closed.14STARTHIGHBROIL LOWBROILORIf your oven is connected to 208volts, rare steaks may be broiled bypreheating the broiler and positioningthe oven rack one position higher.
