OPM_GTU_19X_1K0_3K0_XUS_V014 13 GT-UL Series: User manual 1.2 (US)Digital Energy ™ GT Seriesg3.4.4 Bypass operationIf the UPS is unable to deliver thedemanded output power due to overloador over-temperature, the load is switcheddirectly to the utility supply.The LED ‘Bypass’ will light, and the buzzerwill sound continuously.The UPS will switch back to ‘ON LINE’mode (normal operation) when the loadand/or temperature conditions returned tonormal.If a power failure occurs during bypassoperation, the UPS will switch to batteryoperation and eventually, when the batteriesare depleted, UPS output power is lost. If the UPS functions under overload or over-temperature conditions it may not be able to protect the load.3.4.5 Replace batteryThe batteries are aged and must bereplaced as soon as possible to ensure fullprotection for your equipment.The ‘Replace Battery’ LED lights and thebuzzer sends out three beeps every hour,until the batteries have been replaced.3.4.6 Short circuitIn case of a short circuit in the load during‘ON-LINE’ mode or ‘ON BATTERY’ modethe UPS will shut down and output poweris lost.The Fault LED will light and the buzzer willsound continuously.The situation will be cleared if the shortcircuit is removed.If the short circuit situation happens during‘BYPASS’ mode, the input breaker will tripand the UPS output power is lost.Fig. 3.9 Bypass operationFig. 3.10 Replace batteryFig. 3.11 Overload
